Do you want to make an impact and drive the growth of a global brand? We are looking for a Specialist, Sourcing to join our LATAM team, based in Panama City, Panama

 

To better deliver on PHOENIX strategy and maximize business value, Pandora is implementing a new strategy for Procurement in Pandora – to transform how Procurement is done in Pandora from a fragmented setup today and into “Buying as One Pandora”. This transformation includes implementing a new operating model for procurement on a global scale including revised governance, org setup and processes. 

 

Key part of initiative includes establishing a robust procurement presence in the clusters to manage over 1.5 billion DKK of spend, currently not professionally managed, thereby unlocking significant savings potential and mitigating compliance risks, in close alignment with the Global Category Management team and Operational Procurement team.

 

Your Role as a Specialist, Sourcing:  

 

 

This role will – supervised by Manager, Cluster Procurement, Latam – execute on a portfolio of local procurement projects and support the overall  transformation of procurement practices from within the cluster based on the strategies set by the Global Category teams, challenging entrenched methods and engaging with senior stakeholders locally to deliver on projects and drive the needed change. Treat the P&L as their own to enhance regional profitability, operating as a proactive driver to reach Savings target.

 

Will be based in our beautiful cluster Headquarter in Panama City, but will cover several markets across the region with Mexico and Brazil being the largest markets in terms of supplier spend, but also operations in Colombia, Argentina, Peru etc.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Local procurement & sourcing projects: Identify and execute a portfolio of procurement from early business case stage to signed contract. Lead continuous savings pipeline and execute focus supplier negotiations, using data-driven insights to challenge rate cards. Run RFP and RFQ events with full ownership, foster effective communications.
  • Stakeholder influence: Cultivate and maintain trust with key local stakeholders, proactively guiding purchase requests through optimal channels. Act as a Point of Contact, executing stakeholder management with high Soft Skills.
  • Procurement Excellence: Together with the Manager, Cluster procurement, Latam, lead the identification, negotiation, selection, and management of local supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to global sourcing processes, policies and frameworks. Support global teams in regional RFx processes and provide strategic insights to inform global category strategies. Think Global, Act local.
  • High stakes Negotiation: Lead negotiations for local agreements, ensuring substantial impact on local P&L and effective risk management.
  • Supplier Accountability: Hold relevant local suppliers to the agreed performance standards, intervening as necessary to enhance value delivery.
  • Policy Advocacy: Champion local awareness and adherence to key procurement policies and processes.
  • Strategy Implementation: Supervised by the Manager, Cluster Procurement, Latam, drive the implementation of global category management strategies and guidelines at the local level across diverse categories:
    •    Build Store: Partnering with local property teams on procurement for retail store construction.
    •    Run Store: Manage procurement for retail store operations related areas, including facility management and other essential services. (Not operational procurement)
    •    Local Marketing: Support local marketing teams in procuring vendors for PR, events, and local influencers.
    •    Other Indirect Services: Oversee procurement across Logistics, HR, local Visual Merchandising, Finance, Tech and other indirect services.
  • Local Sustainability Leadership: Collaborate with central sustainability teams to drive local initiatives that contribute to Pandora's emissions reduction targets.
  • Legal Partnership: Maintain close collaborative relationships with local Legal teams to develop and enforce contracting templates and practices that safeguard Pandora's interests. Enforce regional compliance through Document Governance and ensure contract coverage according to policy.
  • Financial Stewardship & Cost mind set: Collaborate closely with local Finance to review and validate savings pipelines, institutionalizing rigorous cost management practices. Identify and rectify “Out of Policy Spending” by cross-referencing systems.

 

Craft your career with us if you have:  

 

  • +1-5 years of experience in Procurement - preferably from a retail environment

  • Ideally having worked in a regional or market branch of a global corporation.

  • General knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, tendering/negotiations, contracting, supplier management. Technical mastery in Spend Analytics.
  • Requires high-level communication skills to influence senior stakeholders, work oni cross-functional projects, negotiate major agreements, and align global and local procurement efforts. 
  • Challenging traditional methods to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Proficiency in identifying and mitigating compliance and financial risks.
  • Proactive management of supplier onboarding process and due diligence.
  • Skill in building strong alliances across legal, finance, and other teams.
  • Understanding of global procurement strategies and the ability to integrate them at the local level.
  • Commitment to embedding sustainability into local procurement efforts that align with Pandora's goals
  • Fluent English
