We are seeking a commercially minded and analytical Merchandise Financial Planning Specialist (internally OTB Wholesale Specialist) to join our ANZ Merchandising team and play a critical role in driving forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation and sales performance across our Wholesale business.

 

The Opportunity

As the MFP Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the Wholesale Open-to-Buy (OTB) process and supporting Merchandise Financial Planning activities across the ANZ cluster.

Partnering closely with Finance, Sales, Assortment Planning and Global teams, you will ensure inventory investments align with commercial objectives, sales forecasts and growth opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to influence business performance through data-driven insights, strategic planning and inventory optimisation.

 

What You'll Do

Merchandise Financial Planning

  • Translate global merchandising strategies into local seasonal financial objectives for the Wholesale channel.
  • Support the development and maintenance of merchandise financial plans.
  • Identify opportunities to drive sales, optimise stock turn and improve margin performance.
  • Monitor business performance and provide recommendations to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Support promotional planning and post-campaign performance analysis.

Open-to-Buy Management

  • Maintain and manage Wholesale Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans.
  • Review and update forecasts based on business performance and changing market conditions.
  • Monitor OTB performance against budget and forecast expectations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align stock and sell-in targets with sales forecasts.
  • Support investment planning and inventory strategies across the wholesale business.

Forecasting & Analytics

  • Analyse sales, inventory and forecast trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for key stakeholders.
  • Support replenishment forecasting and new product investment planning.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy and inventory efficiency.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with Finance, Sales, Assortment Planning and Global Merchandising teams.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Present insights, recommendations and planning outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Communicate key commercial opportunities, risks and performance trends.

 

About You

You are a highly analytical planning professional who enjoys turning data into actionable insights and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

You Have

  • Previous experience in Merchandise Planning, Merchandise Financial Planning, Open-to-Buy, Demand Planning or a similar commercial planning role.
  • Experience working within a retail, wholesale or omni-channel environment.
  • Strong forecasting, inventory planning and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong reporting experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • A degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or a related discipline (preferred).
