About the Team:

The Commercial Finance team is a strategic partner to the business, providing forward-looking insights and constructive challenge to support profitable growth. As the finance lead for the Ecommerce channel, you will serve as a trusted thought partner to Ecommerce leadership and cross-functional teams. You will lead deep dives into topline and gross margin performance, maintain a holistic view of the Ecommerce P&L, and translate financial and commercial trends into clear actions, risks, and opportunities. Working closely with Ecommerce, Merchandising, Sales, NAM Finance, and Global Finance, you will help shape priorities, strengthen decision-making, and improve overall channel performance.

 

About the role:

Our Commercial Finance Manager for Ecommerce serves as the strategic finance lead and trusted thought partner for the Ecommerce channel, influencing decisions that drive sustainable revenue growth, gross margin expansion, and overall P&L performance. Provides clear visibility into performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and investment trade-offs to support timely and informed decision-making. Leads recurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual budget, forecast, close, and performance-review activities, while also delivering ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modelling, business cases, and strategic project support as priorities evolve. Drive process improvement, automation, and responsible AI initiatives that increase forecast accuracy, strengthen analytical insights, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance scalability.

 

Your Role as Manager, Commercial Finance for Ecommerce

  • Lead the Ecommerce annual budget, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles, translating commercial priorities into clear financial targets and actionable plans.
  • Own Ecommerce revenue and gross margin planning and provide financial oversight of the Ecommerce P&L.
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, and Ecommerce teams to develop total and like-for-like sell-out plans and support the monthly close, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Lead monthly P&L reviews, delivering clear insights and constructively challenging business partners to optimize top- and bottom-line performance.
  • Provide strategic decision support, scenario analysis, and financial modeling for new partners, investments, and business models.
  • Lead the weekly rolling landing estimate process for Ecommerce revenue and like-for-like performance, presenting the outlook, key risks, and opportunities to the broader organization, NAM leadership, and Global partners.
  • Deliver product margin analysis and reporting in partnership with the Merchandising team to improve assortment profitability and support informed commercial decisions.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, performance analyses, and executive-ready reporting that translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
  • Balance recurring planning and reporting cycles with project-based analyses and strategic business priorities.
  • Partner across NAM Finance, Global Finance, and cross-functional teams to strengthen collaboration, align performance narratives, and build financial understanding.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and responsible AI initiatives that increase forecast accuracy, strengthen analytical insights, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance scalability.
  • Support Global deliverables and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent financial input from the NAM organization.

 

Craft your career with us if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree, MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, ideally in consumer goods or retail
  • Strong financial planning and analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L management
  • Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights and actionable recommendations
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Ecommerce and retail performance drivers, including revenue, gross margin, pricing, promotions, product mix, and like-for-like growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships across Finance, Ecommerce, Sales, Merchandising, and Global teams
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, innovative, and solutions-oriented mindset, with a focus on process improvement, automation, and responsible use of AI
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines

NYC Salary: $130,100 to $162,600.00 commensurate with experience
