Specialist, Retail Analytics (m/f/d) – Hamburg

Own and drive the performance tracking and analytical agenda for the retail channel across Northern Europe, translating data into actionable insights that fuel commercial decisions and sales growth.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders by identifying opportunities, guiding strategic discussions and fostering a strong data-driven performance culture.
Lead retail performance analysis and reporting, including KPI tracking, store benchmarking and impact assessments, while building dashboards and tools to empower the business. Additionally, oversee revenue planning and forecasting, providing analytical insights to support long-term planning and identifying opportunities for growth.
WE DELIVER - Let's deliver together:
- Performance Management: Partner with Divisional Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers to identify best-in-class as well as weak performers to share best-practices and ultimately boost performance on all levels.
- KPI Management: Conduct the day-to-day, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting of the main Trading-KPIs on country, region, store and transactional level to share within the Sales Management and to other stakeholders.
- Commercial Insights: Provide clear, concise and credible commercial insights for the weekly Trade Meeting by analysing patterns, identifying root causes and present them to the team. Furthermore, create a feedback-loop by combining qualitative feedback from different touchpoints with numbers to formulate comments and actionable conclusions.
- Stakeholder Management & Influencing: Act as a trusted advisor to Sales Leadership, DSMs and cross-functional partners, pro-actively translating complex analytics into clear, actionable narratives tailored to different stakeholder groups
- Ad-hoc requests: Collaborate closely with the Sales Management and related departments such as Training, Merchandising, eCom, Marketing and Finance on ad-hoc requests to leverage growth potentials
- Business Cases: Support the management around building business cases and help to size the impact of potential opportunities identified or build value estimation calculators partnering with Finance
- Management reporting: Create and compile post-mortems with learnings on basket size, conversion, sales and customer experience.
- Field Reporting: Own and continuously collaborate with Global Partners to refine globally and/or locally built BI tools for effective usage by non-Finance persons and act as a connector between Global BI and Retail teams.
- Forecasting: Plan financial revenue streams by KPI drivers and operational forecasts in different markets and ensure that daily forecasts are accurate. Maintain and improve forecasting models in close alignment with Finance.
- Training and Operational Standards: Partner with Training, Marketing and Merchandising teams to analyse the impact of training, commercial activations and other measures on store performance at transactional level in order to formulate retail standards.
- Data-driven Culture: Develop and train sales team members in reporting to foster and nurture a high level of commerciality within the team which is based on numbers.
WE DREAM - This is what we dream of:
- Strong analytical background with 3-5 years of experience in data-driven roles (e. g. retail, fashion, FMCG, consulting or finance)
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, IT or a related field
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (incl. data models with complex formulas, pivot tables, PowerPivot and PowerQuery) and Power BI, proficiency with PowerPoint and experience with other BI applications or statistical software
- A proven ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business insights and clear, decision-ready recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- A commercial mindset with clear understanding of retail performance drivers and how to turn insights into impact
- High level of ownership, proactivity and curiosity, with a drive to continuously improve and challenge the status quo
- Ability to simplify complexity, stay structured and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in international or cross-functional environments is a plus
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
- Openness to travel max. 20 days/year
