Senior Specialist, Paid Media (m/f/d) – Hamburg (fixed‑term, 1 year)

The Senior Specialist, Paid Media plays a pivotal role in shaping Pandora’s multi-channel media strategy across digital and traditional platforms. As a subject matter expert, this role leads full-funnel media planning, oversees cross-market campaign execution, and drives innovation through test-and-learn initiatives. The position ensures that media investments are efficient, measurable, and aligned with overall brand and business objectives. Additionally, the role provides functional guidance to junior team members and collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated and impactful media activity.

Channel Leadership
- Own the development of full-funnel paid media tactics across Social, TV, Print, Audio, CTV, and YouTube.
- Translate overarching strategy and business objectives into effective, measurable media plans.
- Identify emerging media opportunities and lead pilot initiatives across new platforms and formats.
- Conduct audience research and media consumption analysis to inform targeting and channel mix.
Campaign Oversight & Execution
- Lead planning and execution of high-impact campaigns across multiple markets and channels.
- Manage media agency relationships to ensure tactical excellence, performance accountability, and alignment with strategy.
- Oversee channel budgets, including pacing, allocation, and efficiency optimization.
- Ensure consistent application of platform best practices, creative specifications, and brand guidelines.
Performance Optimization & Insights
- Analyze cross-channel campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to guide continuous improvement.
- Build advanced measurement plans and testing frameworks (e.g., incrementality, geo lift, brand lift).
- Partner with analytics teams to ensure accurate data collection and robust insight generation.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Provide functional guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support to junior media specialists.
- Foster knowledge sharing across the Paid Marketing team and contribute to capability-building initiatives.
- Serve as a key partner to Brand, Content, CRM, and Analytics teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
Stakeholder Communication
- Present channel strategies, performance insights, and optimization recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to enable effective execution and innovation.
- Support quarterly and annual planning with channel forecasts and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to integrated marketing planning with cohesive messaging and measurement approaches.

- 8+ years of experience across paid media channels with a strong track record in strategic planning and execution
- Deep understanding of media platforms, buying models, audience targeting, and cross-channel activation
- Strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience with media measurement tools and dashboards
- Proven ability to manage large-scale budgets and agency relationships
- Experience with cross-channel attribution models (an advantage)
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- A strategic, analytical, and highly organized mindset
- Ability to drive innovation and foster a test-and-learn culture
- Proficiency in TikTok, Pinterest, Meta Business Manager, Smartly, DV360, YouTube Studio, and TV tracking platforms
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio)
- Familiarity with programmatic buying, CTV platforms, and audio sponsorships
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Blueprint)
- Fluent in English
