Senior Engineering Manager - Data & Analytics

City:  Copenhagen V
Country/Region:  DK
Application Deadline:  15 July 2026

Come join Pandora to lead the engineering behind business-critical data and analytics capabilities across our global organisation. From retail and supply chain to finance and merchandising, our data and analytics teams enable decision-making across more than 100 countries and thousands of points of sale worldwide.

As an engineering leader, you will play a key role in shaping how these teams operate — bringing clarity to ways of working, strengthening delivery excellence, and ensuring engineering remains closely connected to business priorities. Your leadership will directly influence how Data & Analytics creates value and drives impact across Pandora.

Does this sound like your next challenge? We'd love to hear from you.

The Role

This is first and foremost a people leadership role. You will lead a group of engineers across multiple teams and domains, including Lead Engineers and experienced Data Engineers. Hiring, coaching, performance, and team development are core parts of your role — not something you do alongside delivery. You are the primary engineering counterpart to the Product Director within your product area. Together, you turn business ambition into execution. The Product Director owns the what and why. You own the how — ensuring work is well-structured, teams are set up for success, and delivery happens with quality and predictability. You are accountable for delivery across your domains, but you achieve it through the teams you lead, not around them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and grow engineering teams across multiple domains, including hiring, performance, and career development.
  • Build high-performing teams with clear expectations, strong ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Own delivery within the product line, ensuring high-quality execution, predictable outcomes, and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Partner with the Product Director to translate business priorities into clear plans, balancing ambition, scope, timelines, and technical realities.
  • Drive engineering excellence through strong practices in data engineering, quality, testing, and delivery.
  • Stay close to business domains, ensuring teams understand and support critical processes across retail, supply chain, finance, and merchandising.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and complexity, bringing clarity to ambiguity and driving issues to resolution.

What You Bring

  • Proven people leadership experience, with a strong track record of hiring, coaching, and developing engineers across multiple teams.
  • Experience partnering closely with product leadership to turn strategy into delivery and navigate trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering data and analytics solutions in complex, business-driven environments.
  • Strong technical foundation, with the ability to guide engineering decisions and challenge technical approaches.
  • A structured, proactive approach that brings clarity, manages risk, and drives execution.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to engage both senior stakeholders and engineering teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with business-critical domains such as supply chain, finance, or merchandising.
  • Understanding of how data and analytics support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Experience operating in large, global organisations with multiple business domains.
