Manager, Data Strategy - Interim

About the Role
In this pivotal interim position, you will define and lead Pandora’s cross channel data strategy - ensuring our business ambitions, data capabilities, technology roadmaps, and privacy requirements all align to deliver outstanding, seamless customer experiences.
Acting as a strategic connector between business, Digital & Technology (D&T), and Legal, you will translate consumer engagement ambitions into actionable requirements and enable data driven growth across paid and owned channels.
You will also hold people management responsibility for one team member, ensuring clear prioritization, coaching, and day‑to‑day leadership during the interim period.
What You’ll Do
To succeed, you will take ownership of several critical areas, including:
- Developing and owning the data enablement strategy across channels.
- Leading the roadmap for cross channel data initiatives, ensuring alignment between channel ambitions, legal guidelines, and customer experience goals.
- Acting as the business owner for Pandora’s consumer data strategy in close collaboration with Data & Analytics.
- Driving Customer Data Platform (CDP) activations and segmentation strategies.
- Influencing and inspiring senior stakeholders on data partnerships, data capture opportunities, and AI driven data initiatives.
- Serving as an internal expert on data operations, data enablement, and consumer centric data practices across functions.

- Engaging senior stakeholders — including C-level — to drive alignment and cross functional delivery.
What Your Work Looks Like
Expect varied and dynamic workdays - from project management, roadmap development, and workshops to cross functional alignment, business requirement writing, privacy assessments, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Professional Skills
- 6+ years in the field of data and personalisation or Digital Marketing.
- Proven experience leading data agendas and preferably in a global organisation.
- Strong and proven understanding of digital marketing cross channel disciplines, IT fundamentals and product management knowledge and general knowledge on consumer data rights and processes/collaboration with legal and privacy teams.
- Customer data platform experience and knowledge - understanding of customer identification and data capture across sources, id stitching techniques, consent frameworks, data segmentation and activation arcoss paid and owned channels
- Business and strategic acumen - the ability to translate business goals into data strategies and prioritise accordingly.
- Data governance and compliance – solid understanding of privacy, compliance and ethical use of customer data.
- Technical and architectural understanding – solid conceptual understanding of data models, integrations and data architecture fundamentals with the ability to define data logics and evaluate data sources to solve for business requirements.
- Data & analytical expertise – strong understanding of data flows and analytics tools to understand how data truths co-exist with a critical, holistic eye on when to use what for what purpose.
- Project and stakeholder management – managing data projects end to end ensuring timelines, ownership and outputs. Leading discovery processes, aligning requirements across business and tech, and driving multi-team initiative.
