Lead Engineer, Developer Experience

City:  Copenhagen V
Country/Region:  DK
Application Deadline:  11-11-2026

What if developers could spend less time navigating complexity and more time building great technology?

Join Pandora as our Lead Engineer, Developer Experience and help shape how engineering teams build, deliver and operate software at scale.

You will lead the implementation and evolution of our Developer Experience platform and Developer Portal strategy, using Port.io as the foundation for a simpler, more connected and increasingly self-service engineering environment.

This is an opportunity to influence Developer Experience across a global technology organisation. You will help reduce friction throughout the software development lifecycle, improve visibility and ownership of software assets, and create practical standards and capabilities that enable engineering teams to move faster and with greater confidence.

Help Write Our Next Chapter

As a technical leader within our DevOps & Operational Excellence team, you will:

  • Lead the implementation, configuration and continued development of Pandora’s Developer Portal, built on Port.io.
  • Own the architecture of our software catalogue, including metadata, service ownership and portal governance.
  • Design engineering scorecards covering operational readiness, security, reliability, documentation and architecture standards.
  • Establish and maintain Golden Paths that simplify and standardise software delivery.
  • Drive adoption of self-service capabilities across development, deployment, observability and operational excellence.
  • Integrate Port.io with platforms including GitHub, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Datadog, Splunk, Azure and Kubernetes.
  • Build greater visibility into engineering health, service quality and operational readiness.
  • Use DORA metrics, flow metrics and Developer Experience frameworks to support measurable improvements.
  • Identify friction across the software development lifecycle and turn this into focused improvement initiatives.
  • Influence engineering leaders and teams to adopt shared platform standards and self-service ways of working.
  • Facilitate communities of practice and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.
  • Evaluate emerging developments across Developer Experience, Internal Developer Platforms and Platform Engineering.

What Makes You Shine:

You are passionate about improving the day-to-day experience of engineers and understand that great Developer Experience is about more than tooling. It brings together thoughtful platform design, automation, clear ownership, effective governance and a deep understanding of how developers work.

We would love to hear from you if you bring:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience across Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, Internal Developer Platforms or a closely related engineering discipline. An equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience will also be considered.
  • Experience implementing or evolving a developer portal, software catalogue or comparable self-service engineering platform.
  • Knowledge of software catalogue architecture, service ownership and engineering governance.
  • Experience designing Golden Paths, engineering scorecards or reusable self-service capabilities.
  • A strong understanding of CI/CD, cloud platforms, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience integrating engineering tools and platforms such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Azure, ServiceNow or observability solutions.
  • Familiarity with DORA metrics, flow metrics or other approaches to measuring engineering effectiveness.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Experience with Port.io would be particularly valuable. However, we are also interested in people who have built relevant experience through comparable developer portals, Internal Developer Platforms or service catalogue technologies.

We know that great talent comes from different backgrounds and experiences. If this opportunity excites you and you can see yourself bringing many of these skills to the team, we would love to hear your story.

Crafting What’s Next, Together

You will join Pandora’s DevOps & Operational Excellence team within Digital & Technology and report to the Director of DevOps & Operational Excellence.

Your work will connect you with colleagues across Platform Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Product Engineering, Service Management and Cloud Platforms. You will have the opportunity to shape solutions across organisational boundaries and help create a more consistent, productive and developer-centred engineering environment.

This role is a Lead Engineer, individual contributor role.

The Impact You Will Make

Your impact will be visible through the adoption of the Developer Portal and Golden Paths, increased use of self-service platform capabilities, broader coverage of the software catalogue and clearer service ownership.

The role will also contribute to reducing developer onboarding time, strengthening engineering standards, improving developer satisfaction and reducing manual governance activities.

The Additional Sparkle

You’ll be based at our Digital & Technology building at Havneholmen in Copenhagen, working alongside talented colleagues in an international and collaborative environment.

Our LEED Gold-certified building is designed to bring people together and provides a modern workplace where you can connect, collaborate and share ideas. It’s a great base from which to help shape Pandora’s Developer Experience and influence how our engineering teams work globally.
