Pandora is looking for a dynamic and business-savvy Senior Manager Latam, Tax in Mexico City, Mexico.

 

Main purpose of the role:

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Global Tax & Customs function for a Senior Manager, LATAM Tax to lead Pandora’s tax matters across the Latin America region.


This role reports to our global head of tax and customs and carries responsibility for tax strategy, compliance oversight, risk management, and business partnering across LATAM. The role will be based in Mexico and will cover entities in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Panama.


The Senior Manager will directly manage a small in-house tax team in Brazil and oversee tax compliance activities in all LATAM jurisdictions, which are outsourced. In addition to ensuring robust and well-governed compliance processes, the role has a strong focus on strategic advisory, business project support, process improvement, and optimisation of tax positions and outcomes across LATAM.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

The role will work closely with GBS finance and tax operations teams, regional finance and business leadership, and colleagues across the global tax and customs function.

 

  • Strategic tax leadership and stakeholder influence: Acting as a strategic and trusted business partner, delivering proactive insights and opportunities to local and regional leadership on key business and structural decisions. Support and deliver value adding input on a wide range of business projects across LATAM, including commercial initiatives, supply chain developments, business expansion and operational transformations. Exercising judgement on when to be pragmatic and when details are important.
  • Risk management: Proactively identifying and managing tax risks, providing solutions that minimize exposure. Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align mitigation strategies with broader business goals and desired organization structures.
  • People leadership and development: Lead the Brazil tax team (2 direct reports) with responsibility for local tax compliance in Brazil (which is also supported externally). Lead the tax function in LATAM, mentoring and developing colleagues in the GBS tax operations team and the Brazil tax team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and advise on law changes: Monitor and assess tax regulatory developments, providing forward looking guidance and leading the implementation of required changes.
  • Process improvement and tax optimisation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across LATAM, including standardisation, simplification, and automation of tax processes where possible. Identify and drive the implementation of opportunities to optimise tax positions and outcomes across the region in line with the group’s tax policy and risk appetite.
  • Tax audit management: Lead and manage tax audits, investigations and authority interactions across LATAM. Coordinating a range of internal stakeholders and tax advisors, while managing relationships with tax authorities to achieve constrictive outcomes.
  • Tax compliance management: Oversee tax compliance processes for all tax types across LATAM which are primarily outsourced. Act as the primary relationship owner for external tax advisors in LATAM, managing scope, performance, and cost. Working closely with GBS tax operations and finance teams that support tax compliance processes.
  • Transfer pricing documentation: Supporting the transfer pricing documentation process for entities in LATAM.
  • Reporting and forecasting: Preparing and/or reviewing quarterly income tax reporting and forecasting packages for entities in LATAM.

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

  • Minimum 8–10+ years of relevant tax experience, gained in-house and/or within a professional services environment.
  • Broad experience managing tax across multiple LATAM jurisdictions is required.
  • Strong technical grounding across all major tax types, including corporate income tax, various indirect taxes and withholding taxes in LATAM is required.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to translate complex tax issues into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading tax audits and managing relationships with tax authorities.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Fluency English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CA, CTA or equivalent).
