Design for Manufacturing & Technical Analysis

  • Conduct DFM analysis before starting new product development to evaluate manufacturing feasibility, process requirements, technical risks, and potential improvements.
  • Explore and recommend new manufacturing techniques to support innovative product designs and achieve quality, productivity, cost, and timeline targets.
  • Determine appropriate production processes and working methods for new products within defined cost and operational requirements.
  • Apply technical knowledge and structured problem-solving methods to resolve manufacturing challenges and ensure production readiness.

Prototype to Mass Production Readiness

  • Support products throughout the development journey, from prototype and production samples through to successful mass production.
  • Work closely with Product Development and other technical teams to ensure that product knowledge, specifications, and manufacturing techniques are effectively transferred to production.
  • Provide initial production parameters and routing information to support product testing and process validation.
  • Ensure that new products can be manufactured consistently while meeting quality, cost, productivity, and delivery expectations.

Cross-Site Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate with technical functions to investigate and resolve new product and manufacturing issues.
  • Act as a key contact between Pandora production sites in Lamphun, Bangkok, and Vietnam regarding new product timelines, technical requirements, and production readiness.
  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment among Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Production Excellence, and site production teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors when external technical support or manufacturing input is required.

Production Process & Cost Optimization

  • Participate in sprue design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve manufacturing feasibility and casting performance.
  • Collaborate with the Standard Time team to estimate production time and support product cost calculation.
  • Evaluate manufacturing methods and recommend improvements to optimize productivity, product quality, and production cost.
  • Identify technical risks early and recommend preventive actions before new products enter mass production.

Technical Training & Team Supervision

  • Provide technical consultation and skills training to prepare production teams for new product launches.
  • Supervise, train, and coordinate assigned team members to ensure that work is completed effectively and according to expectations.
  • Build technical capability within the team through coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Monitor progress and support the team in delivering new product activities within demanding timelines and available resources.

We love that you are…

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Jewellery and Gem Design, Manufacturing, or another related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in jewellery product development, jewellery production, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes, production techniques, and product requirements.
  • Experience supporting new products from prototype or development stages through to mass production.
  • Good analytical, decision-making, and systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and coordinate team members.
  • Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Able to prepare clear issue reports and effectively present technical information.
  • Highly responsible, proactive, and able to deliver results under pressure and within demanding timelines.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, manufacturing techniques, and ways of working.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or other ERP systems would be an advantage.
