Imagine being the person maintain the day‐to‐day activities to maintain to ensure that production tooling, Mold, stamping die and jig/fixture are in good working order. Generate relevant existing production processes and develop recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimize risks and minimize costs to increase yields and productivity and improve the quality and consistency of final products.

Key accountabilities:

Process Improvement

  • Develop new approaches to engineering problems to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost.

  • Analyze more complex product specifications, parts drawings and other engineering data to develop new production processes, estimate time requirements for each step and prepares operation sheets.

  • Analyze existing production processes that potential to change process, remove process or improvement process.

  • Quick respond to investigate process issue or fault and perform trouble shooting to improvement o increase yields, productivity, improve the quality and consistency of final products.

  • Ensure production process and continues improvement products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost.

  • Analyze statistical process studies and process workflow to improve processes.

  • Monitor and improve the performance of processes, equipment ,tools and machine parameter for continuous improvement necessary to maximize process capability.

  • Advise on recommendation to Product development to assess alternative manufacturing solution for new product development o Generate relevant document for build sheet, machine condition parameter, procedures, work instruction, support documents and work flow documents

  • Reduce complicated process sequence and revise machine/tooling conditions and machine/tooling parameters.

Maintain the day‐to‐day activities

  • Maintain and maintenance plastic injection mold to support plastic injection process are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

  •  Maintain and maintenance stamping die to support stamping process are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

  • Maintain and maintenance overall equipment and tooling are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

  • Maintain and adjustment overall machine parameter to support productivity, overall equipment effective, quality and delivery on time.

  • Under general direction, responsible for complex operations and duties in production.

  • Review and ensure tools performance and process performance are met specification and quality standard.

  • Review and monitor every product are pass in product accepted quality. 

  • Update relevant document for alternative machine operation such as procedures, build sheet, machine parameter condition, work instruction, technical drawing and work flow.

  • Quick respond to investigate process issue or quality fault then perform trouble shooting to bring back to produce.

  • Responsible for solving problems requiring more extensive knowledge and experience. 

  • Quick respond to mold/die and equipment breakdown and reduce mean time to repair and mean time to acknowledge.

  • Maintain and monitor Overall Equipment Effective result in term of percentage of available and percentage of performance.

  • Participate in buyoff or acceptance criteria for new machine, new tool, new plastic injection mold and new stamping die to ensure they are met specification and quality standard.

  • Guarantee and monitor Mold/Stamping die/tools spare part inventory according to preventive maintenance plan and corrective maintenance.

  • Also support to generate Spare part predictive planning and budget. 

  • Reports any inconsistencies, overall status progress and critical point.

  • May assist with training other machine operation leader and machine operators

Initiate and implement new process or new technology

  • Intitiate innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems

  • Intitiate and implement new process or machine to increase capacity contribution toward expected goal.

  • Intitiate in new technology development processes (Co-develop)

  • Provide information consult to internal key stakeholder, external key stakeholder and preparation of engineering project proposals.

  • Investigate new manufacturing methods 

  • Justify new equipment to meet competitive business needs

  • Intitiate in new process or tools to improve efficiencies 

  • Prioritize and assign resources for validation process and testing new for implementing new alternative manufacturing.

  • Initiative new process to ensure effective transition into mass production. 
    Provide Capital expenditure request.

  • Collabrolation with internal stakeholder and external stakeholder for co-develop alternative process to achieve the target. 

  •  Intitiate new equipment, new tool and new machine to improvement quality of alternative products.

  • Intitiate new technology continuously to increase production efficiency, cost, and quality. 

  • Generate relevant document for standard documents of new technology such as build sheet, machine condition parameter, procedures, work instruction, support documents and work flow documents

  • Collaborate with internal key stakeholder and external key stakeholder For new equipment, new tool and new machine.

  • Generate relevant document for new process spare part inventory according to preventive maintenance plan and corrective maintenance.

  • Also support to generate Spare part predictive planning and budget.

  • Involve and consult to develop new molds, new stamping die, new parameter and new tooling

Supervise team development

  • Prioritize and assign tasks so that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

  • Lead team to enhance process efficiency to support productivity and delivery.

  • Planning and conclusion team work load to the corrective maintenance response acknowledge and preventive maintenance of production plastic injection mold/stamping die/tools and machines parameter are in good working order.

  • Monitor the condition of maintenance Mold, stamping die, tools and machine parameter that are used by subordinate technicians.

  • Coordinate the day‐to‐day activities of subordinate technicians to ensure that production equipment

  • Coach and mentor subordinate technicians to check the quality of their work and help them resolve problems. 


We love that you are…

  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within an alternative or tool shop environment

  3. Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, fabrication techniques and equipment maintenance

  4. Experienced with Plastic mold die stamping will be advantage.

  5. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture

  6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  7. Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology

  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  9. Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a safe work environment
