It’s time for us to revolutionise our digital backbone and transform how we deliver and support our business, enabling our customers to give a voice to their loves.

As part of rapidly expanding the Digital Hub in Bangkok, we are searching for a Senior Engineering Manager with deep expertise in the Global Operations and Planning technology domain. A strong, passionate and proven leader is a key component of realizing these ambitions. In this role, you will own the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle strategy and execution within the domain, including how modern engineering teams use AI across planning, delivery, testing, documentation, operations and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role, with a high degree of cross functional collaboration, fostering high-performing engineering teams and driving change towards a DevOps culture. Leading by example within SDLC, you will lift the maturity in quality engineering, raise the bar for continuous integration and delivery practices, and help the team use AI-assisted engineering tools with sound technical judgment, security awareness and clear accountability.

The Senior Engineering Manager will be called upon to provide leadership, coaching and motivation to the engineering teams and will need strong communication skills to work closely with the product teams and key business stakeholders. You will help deliver on the business strategy, from early requirements to behaviour-test driven development, whilst maintaining operational stability, high coding standards, adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices, quality deployments, monitoring of the tech stack and overall production health.

The main outcomes are focused on enabling our engineers to ship high quality products and features with end-to-end ownership from conception to delivery with minimal disruption to the business. You will be a critical part of our engineering chapter, responsible for ensuring quality engineering, reliability, scalability, performance, and robustness of our software products. You will play a critical role in designing and executing engineering standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving cultural shift towards build and run.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) enabling the domains blueprint and target architecture through a MACH first approach.
  • Build and lead the domains quality engineering strategic initiatives within the engineering chapter and aligning them with the Pandora digital strategy and adoption to engineering standards.
  • Develop high quality, scalable and reliable microservices, enabled by a strong integration foundation utilizing repeatable design principals towards an API and Event-Driven Architecture first approach.
  • Maintaining quality deployments and real-time technical / business process monitoring of the production health with a build and run first mentality.
  • Drive operational and service excellence, together with managing incident response and problem management with a strong focus on high product availability.
  • Lead teams of highly skilled architects, engineers, developers, QA and test engineers, building a DevOps culture and providing the needed leadership and support towards their professional development.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment where team members feel motivated, engaged and a sense of belonging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality engineering practices into the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Champion the responsible use of AI across the SDLC, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, documentation, release readiness and operational support, ensuring that AI improves engineering outcomes without compromising quality, security or accountability.

What is needed to succeed:

  • 10+ years in leading multi-national digital transformations with a strong focus on supply chain planning, forecasting and execution technology
  • 10+ years enabling scalable modernized software architecture utilizing MACH principals, serverless technologies, container orchestration, API management and microservices framework.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience working across Supply and Capacity, Demand and Supply Planning, ERP, OMS, WMS and TMS solutions for a global organization.
  • Strong practical understanding of how AI can be applied across the SDLC, including AI-assisted coding, test generation, documentation, code review, defect analysis, operational troubleshooting and engineering productivity improvements.
  • Curiosity and hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled engineering tools, with the ability to evaluate their fit, guide safe adoption, and coach teams on using them effectively rather than treating AI as a shortcut or unmanaged experiment.
  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture & cloud integration platforms such as Kafka/Solace which processes high volumes of data across the technology stack.
  • Proven track record leading teams and experience with global supply chain technology implementation programs
  • Naturally proactive and independent problem-solver with a proven track record of driving product and engineering management, solving meaningful customer and business problems.
  • You enjoy working with many stakeholders and showcase the ability to translate technical language into business value, through well-crafted artefacts and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Effective influencer and ability to work with large cross-functional teams and complex programs in large multi-national corporations.
  • Being comfortable working with short lead-time, change management and highly volatile environment. Shows resilience and patience to build up strategies, structures and maturity within an organization.
  • A learning mindset and genuine interest in the rapidly evolving AI landscape, with the ability to translate new capabilities into pragmatic improvements for engineering practices, team effectiveness and business outcomes.
